The move comes after the studio announced in May that the superhero film with Gadot as Wonder Woman will be the first Wonder Woman movie to be released before any of the Avengers-related movies. As a result, Gadot will be the first woman to headline a DC movie before the first male superhero film.

The trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 has just launched and features some serious action. The footage shows a bright pink version of Diana flying in the air with her lasso at a speed that is over a kilometre per second before starting to spin faster and faster. Later in the trailer, an amazing shot of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) standing on top of a car with her sword drawn as the car goes flying into the air with the sword behind her going faster and faster. In addition, there are scenes of the character whipping objects with her lasso. Do not miss the trailer!

So when we begin to see Wonder Woman getting comfortable in her new position in the trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 it'll probably give you a few tingles if you're a fan. The film will introduce audiences to Thora, who will become Wonder Womans chief military aide and help her with crucial information on the Island of Themyscira. In the next shot, readers get a glimpse at Diana in the titular role. Fans can expect to see her in a red and gold outfit that's as iconic as the comic book character. But the trailer also shows her relying on her learned skills to come up with a new plan to stop Ares (Neal McDonough) from destroying the world again. In the last shot, Diana is shown in a new costume that's in the classic Wonder Woman colours with some interesting red accents. It'll be interesting to see what she's wearing.
